  • Very nice bino pack

I've tried several different bino packs over the years, and my favorite was the old Tenzing OSS15, so I was excited to try this new one. It's a much nicer, sturdier pack than the OSS15 with more features. The material feels very durable. The Bottomland camo looks great. I hope to see Tenzing offer some more pattern options in the future, as well as the loden green color that some of their packs used to be made in. It has a lot of storage space without being bulky: 3 zip pockets (front exterior, back exterior, and inside bino compartment), an open mesh elastic pocket on back exterior, plus an open elastic pocket on the left side. It also has webbing to attach other items if needed. The included rangefinder pouch could also be repurposed for additional storage if you don't use a RF. The interior is a very soft microfiber material, so it allows for silent removal of your binos. The main closure magnetizes to the front of the pack so it will stay open to allow for easy one-hand operation. I do wish that the pull loop for the main flap was positioned closer to the top of the pack as opposed to on the back. That makes it a bit awkward to open. The RF pouch has the same issue, but the flap for the RF pouch also gets caught on the batwing when you try to close it. Not a big deal but that's a minor nuisance. My biggest complaint is the harness itself. There's too much excess webbing when you tighten the harness up to the correct position. It does have containment loops for the webbing, but it's a bit messy if you have a lot of excess webbing. I'll have to get the excess cut off and then have the tag end sewn back into place. The harness also seems to want to ride up on my neck just a bit when wearing a t-shirt. I'm hoping it won't be as noticeable when wearing my usual hunting layers. Otherwise this is a great harness from what I can tell and I think it'll perform well in the field. Tenzing just knows how to make high quality packs.
